On June 3, Chery Holding Group released a sales report. In May, the group sold 188,556 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 35.5%; of which 92,481 were exported, a year-on-year increase of 20.4%; new energy sales were 42,733 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 279.3%.
From January to May, a total of 900,209 cars were sold, a year-on-year increase of 51%. As of now, the cumulative number of global car users of Chery Group has exceeded 14 million, including nearly 3.8 million overseas users. From January to May, a total of 135,861 new energy vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 168.9%. The monthly sales for three consecutive months have more than doubled year-on-year, including an increase of more than 2 times in May. In terms of exports, Chery Group continues to rank first in China's automobile exports. From January to May, a total of 435,124 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 31%.
Specifically, the Chery brand sold 117,939 vehicles in May, a year-on-year increase of 24%; from January to May, it sold 583,073 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 45.2%.
The Xingtu brand sold 9,467 vehicles in May, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%; from January to May, it sold 41,195 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%.
The Jietu brand sold 36,743 vehicles in May, a year-on-year increase of 85.4%; from January to May, it sold 181,467 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 99.9%. The first product of the iCAR brand has been on the market for three months, with sales of 6,668 units in May.
