On the eve of the opening of the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show, Bitauto’s exhibition team photographed the Honor of Kings eStarPro team’s first fashion-modified co-branded version of the Dolphin model. The car is positioned as a pure electric small car, priced at 93,800-121,800 yuan after subsidies, and has a NEDC comprehensive range of 301 kilometers, 401 kilometers, and 405 kilometers.
BYD Dolphin is the first product born on BYD e-platform 3.0 The new car adopts a "marine aesthetic" design. There are 2 styling styles and 5 colors to choose from. The style is more lively and youthful. The joint version of the model uses a white and blue camouflage paint, the body has the English name of the eStarPro team, and a sportier rim design.
BYD Dolphin regular version has 5 color schemes. The two-color body design is consistent with the biological image of the "dolphin", and there are brighter colors in the front and rear bumpers and skirts. As a jumping color, it creates a visual contrast. In order to achieve better results, a consistent color tone design is also adopted inside and outside.
Dolphin’s interior adopts a large number of soft curve designs. The continuous lines start and end with the front door panels on both sides and run through the entire instrument panel, creating an enveloping feeling. In addition, the new car also adopts a suspended instrument panel, a three-spoke steering wheel and an adaptive rotating suspension screen design. Dolphin adopts a short front overhang and short rear overhang design, so the new car has more flexible possibilities in terms of internal space.
The new car has two power options, a 70-kilowatt permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak torque of 180 N·m. In addition, the Dolphin Future Rider Edition model is a high-performance version with a maximum power of 130 kW motor, a peak torque of 290 N·m, and a top speed of 160 km/h.
In terms of cruising range, the Dolphin NEDC has a comprehensive driving range of 301 kilometers, 401 kilometers, and 405 kilometers, and is equipped with lithium iron phosphate blades with power of 30.7 kWh and 44.9 kWh respectively. With the battery, the comprehensive operating power consumption per 100 kilometers is as low as 10.3 kW·h.
Except for the lowest model, which provides 40 kilowatt DC fast charging, other models are equipped with 60 kilowatt DC fast charging, which takes 30 minutes to charge 30%-80% of the power.
