Recently, Alfa Romeo (Shanghai) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products". Starting from January 11, 2022, some imported 2021 Giulia and Stelvio cars have been recalled, a total of 263 vehicles.
The details are as follows: 1 Juliet 200 car produced on November 2, 2020; January 28 to 2, 2021 135 Juliet 280 cars were produced between March 30, 2021; 127 Steway 280 cars were produced between September 16, 2020 and May 5, 2021.
Due to material molding process problems in the fuel pressure sensor joints of the vehicle's low-pressure fuel lines within the scope of this recall, a certain proportion of the joints have pores in the internal pipe wall. These pores will produce cracks under the action of stress. During vehicle operation, the inner cavity of the fuel pipe joint may crack, causing fuel to leak from the pressure sensor. If an external open flame is encountered, there is a risk of fire and a safety hazard.
Alfa Romeo (Shanghai) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the improved low-pressure fuel pipe (with fuel pressure sensor) free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety hazards.
Alfa Romeo (Shanghai) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will notify users by registered mail or other means.
