On November 14, Bitauto editors took photos of FAW Audi’s new Audi A5L during a visit to the Guangzhou Auto Show on the eve of the opening of the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show. The new car will make its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
According to previously released information, although both SAIC Audi and FAW Audi will introduce the new domestically produced Audi A5, they will provide different body styles. It is expected that FAW Audi's new A5L is likely to continue the traditional sedan shape.
In terms of interior, the new car is expected to be highly consistent with the overseas version. The new Audi A5 family is the first model of the Audi brand to be equipped with an enhanced mild hybrid system (MHEV Plus), which uses 48-volt mild hybrid technology and is equipped with a propeller shaft motor (PTG), a belt-start alternator and Lithium iron phosphate batteries bring performance and efficiency to a new level. The driveshaft motor can provide up to 18 kW (24 hp) of power output to the internal combustion engine, and during deceleration, the driveshaft motor can recuperate up to 25 kW.
