On August 8, Ford Motor Company collaborated with bicycle manufacturer N+ to launch two officially authorized electric bicycles, named after its classic models Bronco and Mustang respectively.
The Bronco model is specially built for off-road adventures, echoing the hardcore SUV style of its namesake; the Mustang model focuses on performance and handling, echoing the sports car spirit. Both e-bikes are equipped with bright lights and LCD displays that can display information such as speed, range and battery level. It is equipped with a hub-type electric motor with a power of 750 watts and a torque of 85 N·m, and the top speed is limited to 45 km/h. The 48V 720Wh battery can be fully charged in 3.5 hours, providing a cruising range of 97 kilometers, and braking force is provided by four-piston hydraulic disc brakes.
In terms of price, the Mustang electric bicycle starts at US$4,000 (approximately RMB 28,685) and the Bronco starts at US$4,500 (approximately RMB 32,271). Both models can be purchased in 10 additional colors for an additional US$390. (approximately 2,797 yuan). Ford expects to begin delivering these e-bikes later in 2024.
